2) Photography! All attendees in costume will get a personal photo session with an experienced photographer.

3) Contests! There will be two cosplay contests:

Iron Cosplay: A fun contest where teams have to construct a entire costume out of surprise materials. The winner will be decided by popular vote.

Workmanship Contest: A more formal contest for cosplayers who make their own costumes. Participants will sign up for a pre-judging session upon arriving at the event. The entries will be judged by some of our workshop teachers, who will announce the winner after a showcase at the end of the day.

4) Community! Bring a work-in-progress and enjoy the company of other crafters and seamsters in our shared work space. Some equipment may be on hand for attendees to practice with and use, and as time allows there may be experienced costumers on hand to answer questions and offer advice.

We will be showing all four main parts of this short series:
Ghost Pain (50 mins)
Ghost Whispers (50 mins)
Ghost Tears (50 mins)
Ghost Stands Alone (50 mins)

The next ATC Board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Monday, May 11, at the Waterbury building (1121 Jackson St NE, Minneapolis, 55413). We will be distributing proceeds from Anime Detour 2015 to appropriate charities and nonprofits. If you would like to get something on the agenda apart from the proceeds distribution, please inform the (outgoing) Secretary at andy[dot]tso[at]animedetour[dot]com . Attending the meeting to speak on it is encouraged but not required.

2015 Board election results

April 14th 2015, 00:16 CDT | Author: ZZalapski

Thanks to all the candidates who ran in this year's election. The results:

Lauren Ganann remains as President
Connie Mohs is the incoming Secretary
David Vetrovec and Michele Webber are the incoming Members-at-Large

(A month earlier, Troy MacDonald was appointed by the Board to fulfill the remaining year of Sari Hagen's term.)

Congratulations and welcome to the incoming members! The new board will wholly take effect as of the June ATC Board meeting, after the transitional May board meeting.

Also, big thanks to the outgoing Members-at-Large, Sari and Brian Hagen, for their dedicated service, with a side order of good luck for Sari as she pursues her graduate studies in Wisconsin for the next two years. As for myself, I am honored to have served as Secretary among the stellar Board Members and Coordinators. Thank you.
